Thanks to the twenty-year collaboration with Servicios Occimiano, the company has installed over 650 systems. Future growth will come from new collaborations with Shell and Aramco
In the first weeks of October, a delegation of Mix Carwashing led by CEO Carlo Gavotto went to Chile to strengthen relations with what is the main foreign market for the Occimiano-based company.
Mix has been present in the South American country for over twenty years through the dealer Servicios Occimiano which is based in Santiago and is led by Daniel Hevia. And for over twenty years he has been visiting the country on an annual basis.
With over 30 qualified technicians and operators, Servicios Occimiano can guarantee assistance and coverage throughout Chile. A feat that is anything but simple considering that it is 4,300 kilometres long, one of the largest extensions in the world that brings with it many logistical problems.
The fruitful collaboration between Mix Carwashing and the company led by Daniel Hevia has led over the years to the installation of over 650 washing systems, most of which were made for the oil company Copec, a national leader with the Lavamax brand.
Growth and new projects with Shell and Aramco Chile
Despite the strong growth of the past years, expansion in the Chilean market is still far from exhausted.
A comparison with Italy can give a good idea of the prospects of this market.
According to Federlavaggi data, in Italy the annual average of washes per automatic system is about 6,000 cycles. In Chile, on the other hand, the new Mix Carwashing rollovers exceeded 1,500 washes in the first month of operation alone, a figure that, projected over the twelve months, reaches over 18,000 washes per system.
These values confirm a sharply increasing demand and a market that is still undersized compared to European standards.
The growth of Mix Carwashing is also ensured by recent commercial agreements.
During this year, it has in fact been awarded very important contracts by Shell Chile and Aramco Chile, demonstrating once again how much trust the main oil groups place in its brand and its products.
During the recent trip, the management of Mix Carwashing also met with the top management of Esmax, the company controlled by Saudi Aramco and through which the Saudi giant operates in the Chilean downstream. During the visit to a functioning plant, which was attended by the general manager of Esmax, Carlos Larrain, who congratulated the efficiency of the Mix Carwashing plant, and the head of retail operations Matias Montenegro.
In fact, two automatic portals have been installed to allow Esmax to test the quality and performance of Mix Carwashing products. Following a successful period of operation, there will be the possibility of establishing a car wash supply relationship for future years.
2026 outlook and development in Latin America
In 2026, Mix Carwashing will therefore work with Chile’s three main oil groups – Copec, Shell and Aramco – as well as with private investors interested in entering the automatic washing business.
The only obstacle to the growth of the latter is the cost of land, which in Chile can be up to ten times higher than in Italy.
However, Colombia, Peru and Argentina will also contribute to driving Mix Carwashing sales, where the Occimiano-based company is expanding its presence, thanks to the high standards of quality and sustainability of its car wash solutions.
